Meetings start with a coffee hour at 9:30. Meetings run from 10-12

September 12th: Performers Showcase at Flint Public Library (Middleton)

October 17th: Summer Reading Wrap Up and Look Ahead at North Reading
Talk about what worked for you this summer and Susan Babb, Advisor for Youth Services from MLS will also join us to share news on Summer 2012 program information.
November 14th: Genre Reader's Advisory Study Group at Newburyport
Cindy Schilling from the Wells, Maine Public Library will present Readers Advisory for Kids & Teens. Cindy's presentation will be followed by questions and sharing.
January 9th (snow date Feb. 13th): New Technology Touch and Feel at Nevins Memorial Library (Methuen)Get your hands on a Nook, check out some cool databases, learn if PlayAways are right for you!
March 12th: Lead your department into the future - Youth Services Strategic Planning at Georgetown. Led by Susan Babb, MLS Advisor. Please pre-register for this meeting using this link:

Friday, April 27: Seventh Annual Program Power Breakfast from 9:30 am - 1:30 PM at the Peabody Institute Library in Danvers. We need librarians who are willing to present a library program of which they are particularly proud - please respond to Kate Carpine by email at carpine@noblenet.org by January 27, 2012.
May 14th: Business Meeting at TBA
Please let us know if there are any topics you'd like to see in the future. Also, if you're not able to attend meetings, you can volunteer your library for next year. Meetings take place in either MVLC or NOBLE libraries but all librarians are welcome to attend.

TOPSFIELD FAIR:
Kate O'Brien said that they are certainly going to be doing the Topsfield Fair tickets again this year. Additionally, she's looking to have another poster contest and perhaps involve the libraries in their parade. Here is her contact info:

Storytime Train
For those who have done (or were interested in doing) the Storytime Train event this year, it has, unfortunately, been cancelled for this year. The meadow in Rockport is not certain to be ready in time for the event. If you have any questions please contact Jane Knight (978-546-6934).

This is going to be a really helpful tool for all the areas children's librarians. Since we only meet every other month - we can keep in touch and up to date via the wiki.

I will be continuing to work for Massachusetts libraries with the new Massachusetts Library System, commencing July !! so I will still be around to advise, anyway!
