PROGRAM POWER BREAKFAST HAS BEEN CANCELLED FOR THIS YEAR! JOIN US NEXT YEAR FOR THIS FABULOUS EVENT!

 

 

 

 What's Happening this Coming Year?

Meetings start with a coffee hour at 9:30. Meetings run from 10-12

(exception Performers Showcase & Power Breakfast)

 

September 23rd at 1 p.m.: Performers Showcase, Flint Public Library, Middleton

All Librarians are welcome and there is no registration required.

 

October 7th: Summer Reading Wrap up and Look Ahead, Newburyport Public Library, Newburyport
Let us know what worked for you and what ideas you have for next year.

 

November 4th: Problem-Solving, Georgetown Public Library, Georgetown
Join us for a discussion on how to handle common children's room problems such as unattended children, chatty parents in story time, or violent video games on public PCs. Bring any dilemmas you want to discuss!

  

CANCELLED April 3: Fifteenth Annual Program Power Breakfast, Nevins Memorial Library, Methuen
We need librarians who are willing to present a library program of which they are particularly proud. This can include book clubs, workshops, children's programs, young adult successes, grant projects, and other fabulous ideas.  The Power Breakfast involves a brief talk about the success of your program as well as presenting a display of visuals props and handouts. We will have tables available for your displays (half or full). Your talk can be a maximum of fifteen minutes. Your participation will assure a successful Fifteenth Annual Program Power Breakfast!
 

May, date tbd: NOBS Business Meeting Location: Freddy's Place, Middleton

Please join us for this very important meeting where we elect officers and decide the upcoming year's programs.

 

 

Let us know if there are any topics you'd like to see in the future. Also, if you're not able to attend meetings, you can volunteer your library for next year. Meetings take place in either MVLC or NOBLE libraries but all librarians are welcome to attend.

This is going to be a really helpful tool for all the areas children's librarians. Since we only meet every other month - we can keep in touch and up to date via the wiki.

I will be continuing to work for Massachusetts libraries with the new Massachusetts Library System, commencing July !! so I will still be around to advise, anyway!
